Three Days Jashn from 12th February to 14th Febrauary 2016, a celebration, a tribute. Jashn-e-Rekhta, a unique festival celebrating Urdu’s inimitable beauty, its soul-stirring cadence and its lyrical splendor. Jashn-e-Rekhta, a first of its kind Urdu festival held in India, Over 60 poets, artists, novelists, litterateurs, journalists, lyricists from India and Pakistan participated in the festival, to take the audience on a journey of exploration of Urdu and its many- splendor facets. Prominent names attended the festival, including Javed Akhtar, Munnawar Rana, Shabana Aazmi, Gulzar, Shamsur Rahman Faruqi, Gopi Chand Narang, Jeelani Bano, Mahesh Bhatt, Tom Alter, Ashok Vajpeyi, Namvar Singh and others.
